Family Reunion

November 21 We packed our bags into Greg and Lynette’s minivan and hit the road for the Lyman family reunion. The reunion this year was in Gilbert Arizona where Kimball and Ashley live. We stayed the night in Henderson Nevada at a hotel called Sunset Station which also happened to be a casino. Lloydel and Kammi stayed in the same hotel. They ordered pizza for their kids and we went downstairs and got lost in the casino trying to find a Subway. We finally found the Subway and ordered some sandwiches for dinner. We slept pretty well that night because the pillows were amazingly comfortable. Kevin even thought about taking a picture of one so we could buy a couple of them just like it. Too bad we forgot.

November 22 Day 1 of the Lyman Family Reunion

In the morning we ate breakfast at Carl’s Jr., then hit the road again. We made it to Kimball and Ashley’s house in the late afternoon. We visited for a while then drove to the rental house. It was an awesome house with five bedrooms, a large kitchen, and a descent sized backyard with a patio, swimming pool, and hot tub. We watched Christmas movies and relaxed while some went swimming. For dinner we had a yummy baked potato bar.

November 23 Day 2 of the Lyman Family Reunion

We took family pictures then went to the Great Arizona Puppet Theater where we watched “The Little Red Hen.” Afterward we went out to lunch at a Mexican place called “Macayos.” The rest of the day we relaxed and watched more movies. In the evening we had walking tacos for dinner.

November 24 Day 3 of the Lyman Family Reunion also Thanksgiving Day

We went swimming and Kayson joined us, he wasn’t so thrilled about the idea. He loved the hot tub though. Around 2:45 it was time to eat. We ate our Thanksgiving dinner outside in the warm Arizona sun. Later in the evening we had the Lyman Olympics. The games consisted of the hoola-hoop pass, shower cap toss, over and under, and a three legged-race. Our team won second place! After the Olympics Chrissy started feeling unwell and before she knew it she regrettably lost all of her Thanksgiving dinner and then some. The whole evening she was throwing up-it was not at all pleasant. In the morning Kammi mentioned that Jacob was also throwing up and slept by the toilet all night.

November 25 Day 4 of the Lyman Family Reunion

It was Kevin’s turn to throw up. Needless to say we spend the entire day and evening taking it easy. A Christmas kick-off was scheduled that night but it was cancelled because we were still not feeling well and others started getting sick too.

November 26 We drove home. Kammi and Lloydel didn’t have much fun driving home since all four of their boys were throwing up into zip lock baggies.
