Kayson is obsessed with crashing, he loves crashing his toy cars. He was playing with some ants and smashed one. He came up to us with the dead ant in his hand and said, “It crashed!”

May 1-2 Kayson loved playing with Grandma Johnson who was visiting from St. George.

May 4 Unfortunately Chrissy lost one of her coding jobs. We have faced unemployment twice in a year, it’s been a challenging time for us. We are grateful for friends and family who have prayed for us.

May 6 Chrissy got a new calling as a gospel doctrine teacher. This year she will be teaching the Old Testament. It has been a long time since she’s taught adults. She’s been in the primary for such a long time she was worried she would suddenly start singing primary songs or bring out a creepy puppet.

May 12 The women in our family went out for breakfast at Kneaders and enjoyed all-you-can-eat French toast. Unfortunately Chrissy had to stay home with a very tired toddler who didn’t sleep the night before.

May 13 For Mother’s Day Kevin was thoughtful and taught Chrissy’s Sunday school class. Chrissy indulged in chocolate, it was a good day.

May 17 We received Kevin’s diploma in the mail from Utah Valley University. He officially has an Associate’s degree in University Studies.

May 19 We decided to celebrate our Anniversary early because of Kevin’s school schedule. We went to Brick Oven. The food was tasty but we both got an all-you-can-eat buffet that was way too much food for us to handle.

May 21 We celebrated our 9th anniversary. We are already brainstorming ideas on what we would like to do next year for our big 10.

May 26 Greg and Lynette took us out to dinner to celebrate Kevin’s graduation. We all enjoyed a good burger at Red Robin.

May 28 Memorial Day We went to the Firemen’s Breakfast at American Fork. Kayson was more than thrilled to see the fire trucks. That afternoon we took a leisurely drive to Payson and admired the beautiful Payson temple. For the rest of the afternoon, the Johansens came downstairs to our apartment and watched Star Wars with us. In the evening we gathered with the Lyman’s for a BBQ in celebration of Memorial Day and Greg’s retirement.

May 30 We attended a dinner at the Wilson’s house in celebration of Tacie’s high school graduation. Congrats Tacie!
